Local First Springfield launches gift cards

Local First Springfield has launched a digital gift card and, in light of recent events, is giving away $1,500 to support independent businesses in the city.

“The Shop Local Springfield Gift Card makes it easy to keep local spending right here in Springfield with member businesses,” said Local First Springfield president Jamie Stout. “We have decided to coincide our launch with the giveaway of $1,500-worth in gift cards to support our members, their loved ones and those in need.”

Recipients of the Shop Local Springfield Gift Card can choose to spend it at any Local First Springfield member business that signs up, or at multiple participating locations. The gift cards are digital and can be purchased from a phone.

Participating member Mark Forinash of Café Moxo said, “We couldn’t be prouder to be a locally owned restaurant participating in this collaborative effort. The $1,500 giveaway is instrumental in spurring economic impact during times like this. The gift card program is a cohesive puzzle piece to help make sure Springfield stays together and thrives.”
