Lauren Tomten opened her photography business in 2013, specializing in newborn and family photos. Three years ago, Lauren Tomten Photography moved into commercial space on State Street and she is now ready to expand again.
“I had been renting the space on State Street, and now I’ve purchased a building at 1219 W. Ash,” she said. The property has been vacant for several years but previously housed a consignment shop and beauty salon. “This will give me longevity, and more space to grow the business.”
The sale is scheduled to close at the end of October and Tomten hopes to move in by November. “We have to do some remodeling, which will be a gradual process,” she said. An open house is planned for spring.
