Lauren Stead starts new position at Systemax

Lauren Stead has started a new position as strategic marketing director at Systemax, 4501 Alex Boulevard.

“The company is growing, and with the expansion they needed more people to handle clients and accounts,” she said.

For the past three years, Stead worked as the marketing and promotions director for Conn’s Hospitality Group. Prior to that, Stead spent seven years at Heartland Credit Union. Stead holds a degree in business administration and marketing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

She is a prior board member for Local First Springfield and has been involved in various community activities, including the Springfield Oyster and Beer Festival, which raises money for local charities.

“It’s put on by the Conn family, but I told them I’d be staying on in a volunteer capacity to help out with it,” she said.
