Darren Jones has joined Security Bank as executive vice president and chief lending officer, effective Dec. 12.
He was most recently the market president at First Bankers Trust in Springfield and has 23 years of banking experience, including working at West Central Bank and Marine Bank.
“We are thrilled to bring Darren into our organization,” said Stephan Paul Antonacci, president and CEO of Security Bank. “He will bring incredible expertise to his new role, and I am sure he will serve as a leader for his team and the employees he will directly oversee.”
Jones has a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and received a certificate from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He has served as an ambassador for the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of Leadership Springfield.
“I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of the Security Bank team,” said Jones. “I look forward to helping the bank grow while continuing to deliver a high level of customer service to our customers.”
Jones will work out of the downtown branch at 510 E. Monroe St.
