Christin Levi is using her eye for design in a different way with the opening of her new store, Again & Again.
Ive been in real estate my entire life, but Ive always had a passion for thrifting and vintage, she said. I was doing it on the side for the last couple of years, specializing in high-end luxury bags, but then I had the opportunity to do a brick-and-mortar.
Levi is subleasing the former Jos. A. Bank space at 2922 Plaza Drive in The Gables. She describes the concept of her boutique as sustainable vintage luxury, with merchandise ranging from mid-century modern furniture to vintage clothing and high-end leather goods such as purses and wallets.
Again & Again is also a retailer for Kantha Bae, a line of vintage saris made by women in India and Bangladesh that are repurposed into clothing.
In addition, Levi said she works with four Springfield-area women artists who repurpose items and make earrings, decoupage trays, and even animal horns decorated with vintage jewels.
A lot of people are intimidated by luxury items, but we have things at all different price points, said Levi. The goal is for someone to come into the shop and see something they relate to.
