Funds are still available through the Business Interruption Grant program to assist businesses and nonprofits that have experienced losses due to COVID-19.

The state of Illinois’ Business Interruption Grant (BIG) application remains open as funds are still available to assist businesses and nonprofits that have experienced losses due to COVID-19.

The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Aly Grady from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s (DCEO) Team RED to bring a technical assistance session for the BIG program to all Chamber members.

This session will be held on Oct. 22 from 1-2 p.m. It is designed as an open forum to ask questions regarding eligibility and to receive assistance on the BIG application. Grady will demonstrate how to access the application, explain the required documentation and answer any questions you may have.

The BIG program is open to all eligible businesses (for profit and nonprofit) with $20 million or less in annual revenue in 2019 and experience losses due to COVID-19. Program information can be found on DCEO’s website here.
